Wedding Invites and Party Accents

Wedding invitations need to express the bride and groom and their personalities.  The big day could be a spring or summer wedding. A theme to reflect the season is a good idea. One can never go wrong with a flow of flowers and butterflies on invitations. Maybe it is a fall wedding with autumn leaves or the fall colors. The colors of browns, yellows, orange and red would be beautiful on the invites. Unusual PG Rated Gifts on Zazzle

Seriously! Gifts with beautiful violets and travel photos of waterfalls were among many gifts marked as for mature audience only to view on Zazzle. Unusual PG-13 Rated gifts on Zazzle (shown below) that one would never imagine it to be. As a small business owner trying to make a living online with custom made POD shops like Zazzle, there are many roadblocks along the way. Since I had joined in 2009 with uploading my creative designs on gift and card products, this company has evolved. There is a rating system for the customer and storekeeper. G, PG-13, and R. The customer has the option of checking the appropriate box for viewing products.  

As a storekeeper, I do have some products that having a PG-13 rating could be more right for. Though anywhere else online these are view-able. The majority of my gift items are for the general audience. I was surprised to see this week that many G-Rated gifts suddenly had more mature ratings. That was automatically changed by Zazzle or possibility their robot system. You be the judge!

These pretty little flowered gifts (all but four) are now for all ages to see, but earlier of this week, they were not. Nothing strange in the neither descriptions nor tags! Could it had been that the word "Wood" is considered a dirty word?

Note that changing these to a G-Rating does not always put the products in the safe viewing mode. Like the few that will have to be republished as new products. In the meantime, they are naughty flowers.

Michigan and Upper Peninsula Gifts

Michigan travel photo merchandise were from photography I had taken with my camera from our Michigan trip and which I own the copyright. We first visited the Tahquamenon Falls State Park. It was a fun travel and camping trip. We had traveled north from Wisconsin into the Upper Peninsula and then over and through Michigan, down to Indiana and up to Wisconsin, which I call the travel loop.

Had to rework tags and titles, but then figured this is the name of the waterfalls and it is in Upper Peninsula, Michigan. I had figured that the robot must have looked at these titles and tags as "upper" meaning drugs. Even though these POD gifts were not viewable in the G-Rated mode, they are now.

Many more questionable rating gifts were found with this more mature rating. In fact, if I were not crying over it, I would be laughing.

Jolly Halloween Witch Not Just for Halloween

It was my fault with the Jolly Halloween Witch products as having a tag "sexy witch". Taking the tag out and changing the rating did nothing and these items were still hidden unless the "moderate view" was used by the viewer. I ended up deleting, remaking and re-publishing these items.

Compact Beauty Mirrors

There had been a compliance issue with the compact mirrors due to a law, but that has since changed. Not sure how that law read but find it totally crazy.

Good to know that these products shown are G-Rated. FOR NOW!

Plus, if you cannot find an invitation for exactly what you are looking for, and then try creating your own design. Nearly (if not all) of the products offered from the Sandyspider Stores (10 stores listed); the designs and text can be exchanged for your own personalized ideas. Zazzle even offers all the HTML colors available online for the background. If creating your own, keep it at 300 DPI and make sure that it will fit the size of the card style that was selected. There is a bleeding area around the perimeter of the invites. Keep all text and the important part of the image within the design area.

Ceramic Knife Box Set Review

The Ceramic Knife box set comes with three different sized kitchen knives (3", 4" and 6") and a ceramic potato peeler. The translucent protective sheath covers over the blades. A sleek black box with a cushioned area for the knives and peeler to fit it all in, makes a nice storage place to keep this kitchenware in when not in use. It is easy to clean by hand or in the dishwasher, and so lightweight.

This "must have" kitchen set was sent to me free in exchange for my fair and honest product review. I have reviewed many products. Free just for trying it, or items which I had purchased. If I find something not so favorable about a particular product, it is included in my review.

Though I had seen demonstrations with knives like these, this is the first ceramic knife box set which we have owned. I cannot compare it to other ceramic brands but it can be compared to the steel blade cutting knives. Stainless-steel blades do get dull over time. We have had the handles corrode on some steel knives. The ceramic knife will never rust nor corrode. It is much sharper than an ordinary knife. The ceramic blade hardness is rated at a 9.5 and will not have to be sharpened as often as the steel type. It could be several months or years, depending on the usage before you would have to sharpen it. To keep it sharp when needed, you will need to use a Diamond knife sharpener for ceramic knives which comes with a diamond sharpening wheel.

Let the Testing Begin!

We began testing these ceramic knives with cutting up pork chops. The knife cut through the meat in nice bite size slices with the ease. Just like cutting through smooth creamy butter.

The best way to see these kitchen tools in action was making a video of it in action. More than anything I wanted to try the potato peeler. Having bought many steel peelers which dull right away and are what I would call throwaways, the ceramic potato peeler looks like something which will last for years from now. Below are some videos of how easy it was to use in our demonstrations.

In this demonstration, the potatoes are being cut up with the ceramic knife, after using the ceramic potato peeler. These are being up thin for American fries.

The Pros and Cons

Pros

• Sharp blades that won't corrode, easy to clean, stain and rust proof.
• Easy to grip handles that have an ergonomic design for less hand and wrist fatigue. (A plus for someone like me who is a long time CTS sufferer.)
• The company offers a 100% money back guarantee it not satisfied.

Cons

• Not so much a negative, but does not come with a pamphlet with use and care instructions. Would be a good add for this product.

My Recommendations

Quite please with the ceramic knife set. It performed nicely and stayed sharp. It would make a nice gift for Father's Day or any occasion.

Funny Ostrich T-Shirts for People and Pets

Humorous shirts that they entire family will love. Creating a funny t-shirt, especially an ostrich t-shirt is amazingly easy to do. These are photo shirts and drawings of the large birds doing what they do best…just being ostriches. One cannot resist the expressive faces that seem to have a conversation with the photographer. Often I think of an ostrich as a happy bird. Though the male can get aggressive if he feels threaten or too much attention is given to the female. I learned this while visiting a small animal farm on Washington Island, Wisconsin. But only after feeding seeds from an ice cream cone were given to one male ostrich. I did not know that he was aggressive and there were no signs to not feed this amazing bird. It was not until some time later the owner told one of the visitors that they can feed all the animals but avoid the male ostrich because he can be unpredictable. He was separated from the two female birds because of this.

Perhaps a hint of the ostrich's behavior was how he flipped my ice cream cone in the air after nearly all the seeds were gone from it. That part happened directly after the video. But we did capture the photo of it and displaying it on products.
